Alliance with the American Chemical Society

ACS and SCI executives meet at SCI headquarters

SCI and the American Chemical Society (ACS) recognise that there are many significant issues of societal and global significance that need solutions and real action by individuals, by organisations and by governments.

ACS and SCI offer certain membership benefits to each other's members. These benefits make it easier and more affordable for members of both organisations to exchange ideas and knowledge by attending topical meetings and symposia.

Benefits to our members from this partnership include:

  • Discounted registration rates to many of each other's meetings and symposia (SCI events)
  • Reduced-rate access to each other's on-site conference rooms and offices around the world
  • Access to ACS Online networking communities (ACS Network)
  • For selected other activities and products (such as Short Courses, e-learning, ProSpectives conferences) ACS offers 'preferred non-member rates' to SCI Members
  • SCI members visiting New York may use the ACS Member Lounge
  • ACS members visiting London may use the SCI Business Centre in Belgrave Square (more).

SCI Scholars

The SCI America International Group (AIG), American Chemical Society (ACS), and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) developed this summer internship programme to introduce chemistry and chemical engineering students to careers in the chemical industry. We jointly offer Industrial Internships for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Undergraduates (more).
