Profile: Hamza Ali, Director of Finance and IT
Hamza Ali, SCI's Director of Finance and IT, comes from a commercial background as a management accountant with multi-national companies. Hamza obtained his MBA from the University of Minnesota. He comes to SCI with experience in the US, in the UK with De La Rue and Coeliac UK, a charity. He has specialised in project, asset and change management, seeking improvements in efficiency and providing added value services.
Since joining SCI in 2005, Hamza has resolved the final salary pension liability with a huge saving. He has optimised the returns on the investment portfolio and introduced Best Practice Governance with SCI's Finance and Investment Advisory Committee. He plays a key role in devising and planning for the business strategy model.
Hamza lives in Little Chalfont with his wife and daughter (a Bio-Chemist), enjoys a good game of poker and watching cricket.
Hamza has already demonstrated enthusiasm and excitement regarding his position within SCI and has spoken of his dedication in order to drive efficient management information delivery and to help keep SCI ahead of the curve.
