The Mond Health & Safety Award

The Mond Health & Safety Award is bestowed for significant achievement in the field of health and safety, either in the workplace, or in the general context of general public/ consumer safety.

Nominations can come from any of the sectors covered by SCI worldwide, including food, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, environmental protection and petrochemicals. The Sir Robert Mond Memorial Trust, which amongst other activities spearheads action on depression, is also to be represented in the selection process. The award is named after Ludwig Mond (more information).

All awards nominations must provide evidence of achievements.

This honour is conferred for an outstanding and broad contribution to the promotion of public understanding of chemistry or related sciences in Society.
