Leverhulme Lecture – Established 1943
In 1942 the Leverhulme Trust endowed a lecture in memory of the first Viscount Leverhulme. It was the first of the sponsored Society lectures set up by Dr William Cullen (SCI President 1941-1943). Read more on Leverhulme.
The Lecture is given every three years before the Liverpool and North West Regional Group to promote chemical or technological research or education.
Nomination by: SCI Member or Committee
Qualification: Excellence in chemical research and knowledge
Description: Lecture and presentation of a scroll and publication of the recipient’s address
Presented at: Liverpool and North West Regional Group Event
Frequency: Every two to three years, at the discretion of SCI
Selection: SCI World President and the Liverpool and North West Regional Group Committee
