Carl Hanson Medal – Established 1986

The Carl Hanson Medal is awarded jointly by SCI and DECHEMA, based in Germany. It is presented during the International Solvent Extraction Conference, an event now held every three years which is attended by scientists, engineers, operators and vendors. Read more on Carl Hanson.

The medal is seen as a life-time award to recognise scientists and engineers working in the general field of solvent extraction science and technology and is administered on behalf of SCI and DECHEMA by the International Committee for Solvent Extraction.
