Chair's Message
Dear All Ireland Group Member,
As part of a drive to maximise the effectiveness of small groups by encouraging mergers where appropriate, a proposal to merge the Republic of Ireland International Group and Northern Ireland Regional Group to form a new All-Ireland Group was approved at the end of December 2009.
The All-Ireland Group functions similarly to the UK regional Groups, but obviously with an Irish flavour. Our events commonly deal with green issues and/or areas key to the Irish economy, with Food and Agriculture and Pharmaceuticals being particularly prominent. As well as numerous Dublin events we hold, co-hold or sponsor regular events in Cork and Limerick. In addition we have held successful joint meetings with the Materials Chemistry Group in 2008, 2009 and 2011 and plan to hold The Irish Adhesion, Surface Coatings and Composites Conference annually.
We will of course keep you updated on our progress.
