Dr Lampitt, a brewing technologist, revolutionised the
worlds of food product development, food manufacture and
food service quality through the marriage and application
of science and business principles in the Lyons empire.
His own impressive service to SCI covered much of his career,
and also provided many of the ideas and worldwide contacts
he needed to succeed. SCI was instrumental in disseminating
knowledge of many of Lyons achievements.
