Recipients of Rideal travel bursaries
The 2007 SCI/RSC Sir Eric Rideal travel bursaries have recently been announced. The Sir Eric Rideal Trust
commemorates Rideal, who was SCI world president from 1944 to 1946 and founding chairman of SCI’s colloid
and surface chemistry group. The trust annually offers financial assistance to promising academic research
workers in the general field of colloid and surface science to attend conferences and/or to visit relevant
research institutions. This year’s recipients are:
