SCI scholarships, granted for the first time in 2007, were introduced as part of the modernisation of the SCI awards programme.
They bring together the Messel and Gray scholarships which were introduced in 1920 and provide funding through the Messel & Gray Trusts. SCI scholarships consist of awards of £5000 over two years and are granted to students beginning their second year of research for a UK PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering and related subjects. |
