Corporate Partner Membership

SCI is delighted to be working with a selection of companies and organisations in our Corporate Partnership scheme. The different bands in the scheme allow for any employer, large or small, to get involved and invest in their own staff though offering SCI membership.

Reaxa

Reaxa Ltd was created to address chemical synthesis priorities of the life sciences and chemical industries - safety, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. The company provides cutting edge products and research focused on immobilisation homogeneous catalysts; new catalyst system design; scavenger technology to clean up products and waste streams; and automated synthesis and clean-up methods in flow processes. The commercial and R&D operations of Reaxa are based in Manchester, UK. www.reaxa.co.uk

Already an SCI Member? If so, why not encourage your employer to get involved? Click here to find out how.

What is the Corporate Partnership scheme?

The SCI Corporate Partnership scheme has been launched to support the continuation of exchanging and sharing information and ideas, by encouraging employers to fund their employees' annual subscriptions to SCI.

Through SCI's global network of forward-looking scientists, researchers, business leaders, students and engineers, opportunities are born and great friendships made.

There are three bands of Corporate Partnership; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each band requires a minimum number of new or renewing Members to be eligible to take advantage of the extensive range of benefits offered. The bands allow for any organisation to get involved and support its own and its employees' investment and growth.

What are the tax implications?

SCI subscriptions are recognised by tax authorities in many countries (including UK Inland Revenue) for conditional tax relief and can therefore be claimed back.

What are the different bands of Corporate Partnership?

There are three grades of Corporate Partnership and each carries different benefits. SCI is an individual Membership association and all Members registered through the Corporate Partnership scheme, will be individual Members of SCI. SCI does not allow companies to become Members.

What are the benefits of being a Corporate Partner?

There are a huge variety of benefits Members and Corporate Partners can enjoy including many intangible benefits. Many of our Members frequently tell us that they renew year after year due to the strong friendships they build up, and the new ideas that result. For others, it improves and builds on their knowledge of the sector that they are involved in, making them more productive and proactive in their roles. With such an extensive list of benefits, there's certainly something for everyone.

Corporate Partnership: Frequently asked questions

  • Who can apply for Corporate Partnership?
Any company, organisation or institute is invited to apply for Corporate Partnership status.

  • Is there an annual fee for the Company?
No, SCI is an individual Member association and therefore all Members registered through the Corporate Partnership scheme will be individual Members of SCI. The company itself does not become the Member but by funding employee subscriptions, benefits from a wide range of offers and concessions.

  • What happens to the employees who are already Members of SCI before we became a Corporate Partner?
The remaining time for the Member's subscription will remain the same and will not be counted as a Member of the Corporate Partner. When renewal time approaches for these Members, the contact at the company and the Member will be notified and can be included in the Corporate Partners Member list once they renew.

  • What if my company is small?
Companies can pay to upgrade their status. For further information please email corporatepartners@soci.org.
