Get a headStart and get noticed online

Tailor your Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resumé online and let the e-Society do the work for you

SCI Members can now post their CVs/resumés online as part of our headStart pages. The service is totally anonymous, so your name and other details will not appear to prospective employers unless you give the go-ahead.

headStart homepageTo post your CV, log on to the e-Society and click on the relevant link on the headStart page. You will be presented with a form, which will give you choices for your career level, educational level attained, the sectors you are interested in, and country.

After these options there are various text boxes for you to fill in (you can copy text here rather than type it if you prefer).

You will be asked to describe yourself in the profile (up to 150 words), set out your career objectives (300 words), detail your experience (700 words), skills (300 words) and achievements (300 words). You also have the option of sending your CV to SCI’s Gold Corporate Partners, such as GSK.

While you have the option of including your name and personal details, we recommend that you leave them out.

For the CV to be added you must agree to SCI’s disclaimer.

After posting your CV, you are free to amend or delete it, or to disable it from public view if you are not job-hunting at the moment. This will save you entering your details again if you decide to start looking.

Your CV will be searchable by employers, but they will not see your name or personal details (unless you want them to). An employer may then contact you via SCI with details of vacancies, but it is up to you to reply.

So if you want to get a headStart, post your CV online today and get noticed.
