The SCI Electronic Laboratory Notebooks Conference Itinerary and Downloads

The following downloads from the SCI Electronic Laboratory Notebooks Conference, held at SCI Headquarters on 9 February 2005 are now available.

Conference background:
Electronic Laboratory NotebooksWhether you are concerned with the chemical, pharmaceutical or biotech industries, academic or governmental research, or the protection of Intellectual Property, the introduction of ELNBs has profound implications. They not only offer a different way of recording experimental information, but also enable instant access by distant co-workers. This represents a radical change to the process of collaborative research: those organisations that adapt efficiently and quickly will reap the benefits.

Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, a promising but long-delayed technology, have recently become mainstream. Several commercial products are now available or in development; both testing and deployment of ELNB solutions are underway. Includes refreshments as stated in the programme.

This meeting is of relevance to laboratory scientists and to all involved with management of scientific information - please forward this notice to those in your organisation who may be interested. This meeting has contributions from key figures in the industry. It reviews the experiences of three research companies at different stages of ELNB adoption.

It also covers legal considerations, electronic witnessing, and progress toward electronic data capture. The day concludes with a chaired discussion forum, to which all delegates are invited to contribute, and a preview of the next generation of ELNBs.

"I've been to a lot of seminars but this has been the best by far. Well organised and great interactions with a good mix of people"

Gareth Cutting, Waters
