Electronic Laboratory Notebook Forum builds on the success of the London conference in February

Electronic Laboratory Notebook Forum SCI’s web team have launched an online forum following the highly successful SCI Electronic Laboratory Notebooks conference held in London on 9 February 2005.

Members and delegates who attended the event have the opportunity to continue to debate issues raised by the event online. Users can either respond to a substantial list of topics, under the headings of Legal, Practical and Technical, or suggest their own.

One of the most popular issues for debate is that of witnesses, under our legal subsection. The question of who can be one, and what they are signing up to, prompted responses from both the US and the UK.

Contributing to the discussion topics is simply a matter of clicking on one of the links, which launches an e-mail window. Dr David Witty has kindly agreed to moderate the forum, so all submissions are approved by him. All postings are displayed anonymously, with the sender’s initials only.

Many of the presentations from the conference are also available, linked to the forum page.
