SCI director of finance and IT Hamza Ali braved sun, sand and scorpions to raise £2,500 for the Macmillan Cancer Relief charity during a gruelling 100km Sahara trek in Morocco. Hamza exceeded his original target of £2000 and made a valuable contribution to the total £83,491 raised by all participants.

‘The trek was a most exhilarating experience – it was demanding, painful, hard work and joyous at the finish!’ a tired but happy Hamza told colleagues on his return. ‘There was also plenty of fun, team spirit and poker games in the evenings.’
