Business Strategy Group AGM

First year a piece of cake for BSG

Business Strategy Group: Annual General Meeting Belgrave Square, London, 13 March

gingerbread manThe Business Strategy Group (BSG) is to hold its first AGM on 13 March at 14.00. The meeting will discuss the operational management and programme of activity for the group, highlighting specific areas where volunteer input from BSG members is needed. These may include, for example, positions for BSG representatives in specific industry sectors, management of strategic partnerships with commercial or non-commercial organisations around the world or liaisons with key academic institutions.

In keeping with the BSG’s commitment to maintain a strong international flavour, the committee will be offering attending members an ‘inter-European kaffee und kuchen’ – coffee-and-cake – AGM, with what is claimed to be the finest cake selection outside Vienna! Countries including France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands will be represented by a traditional cake or drink (think apfelstrudel and Tuscan vineyards!) and group members are invited to take part in the feast and discussions. Non-members of the group are welcome to attend, with the proviso that they sign up on the day.

The group has made an excellent start since its launch in November 2004, with strong support from big names in the industry, including AstraZeneca, AT Kearney, Bayer, GSK and BASF with a significant representation from SMEs. This recipe creates opportunities for knowledge exchange ‘across the fence’, for making new business contacts and developing personal profiles.

There is a diverse range of opportunities for involvement and input, and these will be clarified at the meeting which will also provide the opportunity to meet the group steering committee as well as other members with an interest in business strategy. Why not come along, and play a part in shaping the vision and strategy of this exciting and dynamic new Group?

The AGM is free to attend, but you are requested to confirm your attendance in advance by contacting Rosie Baston
