Soft matter proves a worthy Rideal lecture

Rideal Lecture: 5 April 2005, Belgrave Square, London, UK

Dr James Goodwin and Dr Andrew HoweAs previewed in the March edition of SCI Members' News, the 2005 Rideal Lecture entitled ‘Rheology of Soft Matter’ was presented by Dr James Goodwin at SCI International HQ in London on 5 April.

This Lecture commemorates Sir Eric Rideal, SCI World President from 1944 to 1946 and founding Chairman of the Colloid & Surface Chemistry Group.

Dr James Goodwin receives his award from Dr Andrew Howe, Chair of the Colloid and Surface Chemistry Group; Prof Brian Vincent, co-organiser of the meeting.
