Introducing organic concepts
Fine Chemicals Group: Introduction to physical organic chemistry, 27 April 2006, London, UK
The SCI Fine Chemicals Group and Young Chemists Panel have jointly organised a one-day conference to be held at SCI’s international headquarters in April. The meeting is aimed at synthetic/medicinal chemists in industry, postgraduate students and those interested in learning more about the influence of physical organic chemistry in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries.
The event will feature presentations from academics and industrialists in the field and will focus on key applicable areas such as mechanism, kinetics, solubility, polymorphism, process chemistry and scale-up. The meeting endeavours to increase the awareness and understanding of these physical organic concepts among attendees to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their synthetic/medicinal chemistry projects. This conference will complement other SCI/YCP meetings aimed at other aspects of the chemical industry.
