31 December deadline for awards
Calling all groups
The SCI Technical and Regional Group awards are important for both promoting SCI to external audiences and recognising excellence within and outside the society. In a bid to further promote and
maintain a consistent portfolio of
all SCI technical and regional group
awards, the awards committee
has devised a process which will
encompass all individual group
awards and provides assistance
with nominations, funding and
preparation.
SCI group
award recipients can now receive:
- One year free membership of
SCI
- A certificate
- Travel expenses
- Free registration to the event
- A profile on the SCI website
- A group-specific memento (if
appropriate)
Once a group has submitted its
award applications and budget it can receive
funding of up to £500 to cover the
expenses of the winner and
incidental costs associated with
organising the event. SCI will also
assist in promoting the awards to
ensure a maximum number of
nominations.
The response received so far
is very positive. The closing date
for 2008 Awards proposals is 31 December 2007. No further
applications will be accepted
after this date.
