Technical and Regional Interest Groups
SCI has 23 Technical Interest and Business Interest Groups, providing opportunities for forward-looking people to exchange ideas and gain new perspectives on markets, technologies, strategies and people. Members and non-members communicate worldwide through a range of conferences, meetings, papers and informal dialogue. SCI also has a range of International and Regional Groups, offering the opportunity to network with other Members and to get involved in activities in support of the science-based community.
Conferences and Events
SCI organises over 50 well attended and popular conferences and events per year which are focused around stimulating and informative scientific and special interest subjects. These are primarily organised through SCI member-led technical and regional interest groups. The underlying content and output from these events continues to provide valuable opportunities for the transfer of knowledge.
Prestigious Awards, Scholarships and Bursaries
SCI has launched a new modernised and extended awards programme to raise the awareness of science and to recognise international achievements in chemistry-related science across the sector. SCI also confers a number of other international awards medals scholarships and bursaries to young people, academics and industry professionals.
Journals
SCI’s five peer-reviewed journals provide commentary articles and research studies undertaken by top scientists in emerging areas whilst addressing global audiences by crossing academic, industrial, government and science policy sectors.
Chemistry and Industry Magazine
C&I is SCI’s highly respected, international and twice-monthly magazine which focuses on scientific news, commentaries, features and reviews on key topical issues. It particularly focuses on news relating to the interface between science and business.
