Consulting at large
Alan Heaton goes to Oman
 Alan Heaton, chairman of SCI’s
Liverpool and North West regional
group, is presently acting as a
visiting consultant at Sultan
Qaboos University in Oman.
From February to May 2007 he will
be advising and assisting staff to
develop a new BSc course in
applied/industrial chemistry. He
will also contribute to the
university’s teaching programme
and present seminars on aspects
of chemical education.
Alan was formerly professor
of chemical education at
Liverpool John Moores University.
