Mother of Parliaments
Parliament visit 10 December 2004
 For
some years now, the London Regional Group has organised annual receptions
at the Houses of Parliament, with the generous support of
BASF. These are flagship events for all SCI, providing a valuable
opportunity for networking with some of the most influential
business and political leaders in science today. Previous
events have been very well attended, with a prestigious mix
of MPs, SCI Members, businessmen and the press.
In response to feedback from our Members, this year the London
Regional Group held a daytime tour of the Houses of Parliament, instead
of a reception. The idea behind this was to give an even more
fascinating insight into the workings of our government and
how the legislative process influences science and industry.
