SCI gets a taste for chocolate-making

70 people turned out for an evening’s treat at SCI International
HQ in London’s Belgrave Square on 10 March, at a chocolatey
event sponsored by Thornton’s and hosted by SCI’s
London Regional Group.
First Lucy Nelmes took the audience through the background
of developing a new product; this was then followed by Thornton’s
Master Chocolatier Barry Colenso, ably assisted by Lee Statham
and Jane Ranby, talking the audience through each individual
confection in their new box. At each stage plates were passed
round so that everyone could taste the product. ‘Is it
a chocolate or is it a dessert?’ was the rhetorical question.
