did you join SCI?
I had just given a lecture for SCI and decided that the time
was right to become a Member.
What is the best website you visited lately?

What is your favourite holiday destination?
I am torn between St Ives in Cornwall or Canada. Visit both!
What would you like to have invented?
The Colour Index — an invaluable tool used in any colouration,
for example wallpaper, paint or print.
Who is your hero/heroine?
Arthur Wilson — headmaster of my first grammar school.
He was a fantastic headmaster who gave each child a set of
standards to work towards, helping them build a better future.
What's the best advice you have ever received?
Upon entering the National Service I ‘saw the other side
of the coin’.
Which book would you recommend as a ‘must read’?
Tai-Pan by James Clavell.
With whom would you most like to spend an evening in serious
discussion?
Winston Churchill.
What is your measure of success?
A good family life.
What is your motto in life?
To allow innovation in development.
