Introducing SCI Ambassador, Nastasia Baudin

"It is well organised and doesn’t take too much time or effort."

What are your research interests?
My key interests are soil sciences, pesticides and environmental fate. I am currently doing an industrial PhD in Environmental Sciences, looking at the degradation of crop protection products in Brazilian soils.

How did you first get involved with SCI?
I attended the SCI Young Researchers in Crop Sciences 2016 event. This took place at the Syngenta Research and Development Centre at Jealott's Hill, where I am based.

What do you hope to gain from your involvement with SCI?
As well as networking opportunities, I hope to improve my Chemistry knowledge.

Why would you encourage your peers to join SCI?
It is well organised and doesn’t take too much time or effort. There is access to very good conferences and seminars.
