The Only Society Connecting Science, Business and You

For over 135 years, SCI has played a vital role with the ongoing development of successful relationships between science and business around the world.

Whatever stage you are at in your career or studies, SCI membership is an invaluable tool. The network will help support your professional development as you meet potential employers or employees, find mentoring opportunities, develop collaborative relationships with peers, find experts in a myriad of topics, and even partners for business ventures.

Individual Membership

Our standard individual membership entitles you to receive our monthly magazine, Chemistry & Industry, join a selection of Technical and Regional Interest Groups to stay abreast of key developments within your sector, attend free member-led events and networking opportunities, whilst enjoying discounted rates on our conferences and events. You will have access to social networking tools and be able to make use of our business centre for free.

Student Membership

Whatever stage you've reached in your studies, SCI can help you get ahead. Meet researchers working in your field, network with potential employers, find a mentor, or get involved in organising member activities (such as conferences) to gain valuable experience and skills that add to your CV. By becoming a Student Member you can save up to 75% on our conferences and events, receive our magazine Chemistry & Industry, join a selection of Technical and Regional Interest Groups, gain opportunities to showcase your work, establish a professional network of people in your area through technical, social and other networking events, and have the opportunities to apply for scholarships and bursaries to help fund your studies.

Corporate Partnership

SCI is delighted to be working with a selection of companies and organisations through our Corporate Partnership scheme. Through this programme, any employer, large or small, can invest in their staff by offering them SCI membership. Corporate Partners recognise the value of SCI's global network of forward-looking scientists, researchers, business leaders, students and engineers, so they fund their employees' annual subscriptions to SCI. This way, they enable horizon-expanding opportunities for their employees and give them access to a wealth of resources. Academic Partnerships

SCI is proud to be associated with our Academic Partners, representing Universities from across the UK and Ireland. Membership under this scheme offers all the same benefits of standard SCI membership at a generously discounted rate of 40% compared to the standard student membership fees. If you are a lecturer or staff member at a university or college and you would like your institution to become an Academic Partner, please contact us at membership@soci.org.

Associate Partnership

SCI is pleased to be working with like-minded organization who have an interest in supporting the application of science through this programme, organisations can support their staff and members to become a part of SCI's global network of forward-looking scientists, researchers, business leaders, students and engineers. Network Connector (e-Member)

Register now to become part of a digital online community. e-Members are entitled to a range of benefits for just £10 a year, including digital access to our Chemistry & Industry magazine, networking with scientists and business people across the Society via our Forum, being listed within the Members' Directory, receiving e-alerts for chosen interest groups and the monthly SCI newsletter.
