Are you a PhD student approaching your second year of study and looking for financial support to assist with your study costs? Did you know that every year SCI awards Scholarships worth £5000?

Since 1985, more than 65 scholarships have been awarded which have not only given the recipients financial assistance, but have enabled them to broaden their network and strengthen their skills and knowledge. SCI Scholars receive access to publishing and mentoring opportunities and are given a platform to present their work amongst esteemed scientists and industrialists, thus raising their profile within the scientific community. In the past nine years alone, SCI has generously bequeathed over £115,000 of its charitable funds to SCI Scholars and the scientists of the future.

If you are studying for a PhD in one of the many technical interest areas represented by SCI’s diverse membership, consider applying for a Scholarship.

All applications* must be completed by the deadline of 30 April 2017 using our online application forms. Supporting references are also required.

More details about Scholarships and how to apply can be found on the Scholarship pages.

*Please note that applicants must be SCI members prior to application.
