Business Development Manager

SCI is a membership organisation and registered charity with a growing membership supporting science based innovation into industry sectors related to Energy, Health and Well Being, Agri-Food, Materials and the Environment.  The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating leads and income from new members with a focus on building corporate and academic partnerships. 

This role will be a primary point of contact for new and existing corporate and academic members and the post holder will be required to interact with a wide range of people from different types of organisation, and with different levels of experience.  A successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of SCI’s target market, and have previous experience of working with contacts in the chemical using industry and academia.

This role will play a key part in SCI’s onward strategy and will be measured based on financial targets and evidence of key project deliverables.  The ideal candidate will have experience of generating new relationships, delivering against targets and working with stakeholders from all levels.

 

Salary will be dependent on experience, but in the region of £35 - £40k

This role is based at SCI’s Headquarters in Belgrave Square, London, however a considerable amount of travel is anticipated, largely within the UK.
