Agrisciences Group partners with UK Plant Science Federation

SCI Agrisciences Group collaborated with a number of other partners to organise the annual UK Plant Science Federation conference. This year the overall topic was Plants in a changing world: molecule to ecosystem and saw contributions from SCI Agrisciences Group members and a range of industry experts.

SCI is currently going through an exciting phase of development and growth. As such, we are now calling for Members who have the experience to guide SCI through this and put themselves forward for available positions. Nominations are open and will close at midnight on Monday 30 May.

The award celebrates the hard work and goodwill of longer-serving Members of all component parts of SCI and the 2016 recipients have now been announced. SCI's 2016 AGM will take place on 6 July 2016, where the DSA awards will be presented and all SCI members are welcome to attend.

Public Evening Lecture - Prof Jack Winkler and Dr Rob Winwood on Fat Lies and Thin Truths

On Tuesday 17 May 2016 SCI’s Public Evening Lecture will enter the discussion over dietary consumption of fats, the beliefs, myths and current evidence of the effect on public health. The lecture will be delivered by Prof Jack Winkler Nutrition Policy Unit and Emeritus Professor London Metropolitan University and Dr Rob Winwood, chair of the GOEDomega-3 science committee and science communications manager at DSM Nutritional Products.
