The SCI Ambassadors scheme rewards our most committed young members with opportunities for networking and professional development. SCI is represented by Ambassadors throughout many different organisations and regional areas.
The College of Scholars is designed to help scholars make the most of the opportunities that a SCI Scholarship can provide, and to make scholars more aware of appropriate SCI Groups and resources that may be of value to them both in their current research and future career.
There are a number of ways that you can get involved in SCI's community and the many benefits that this offers. Find out more.
The governance of the Society is managed according to the Charter, By Laws and Rules. SCI's governance structure consists of a Board of Trustees and other governance committees in key areas such as Finance and Investments, Publications, Membership and Careers, and the Executive team.
Members are entitled to 50% discount on Wiley books (excluding encyclopedias and major reference works), as well as other discounts from time to time.
SCI's Energy and Climate book, published with its partner, Wiley, is intended to be the first in a series.
The SCI Lecture Paper Series was started to make lectures from SCI meetings available to a wider audience. Papers received are published as received from the authors after presentation, and their content is solely the responsibility of the authors.
In addition to the books listed, SCI has a complete collection of its journals, in print, from its foundation to date and the more recent ones are also available in electronic form to subscribers.
A number of papers from SCI conferences are available to delegates who attended these events. All delegates will be supplied with passwords.
SCI was established in 1881, by a prominent group of forward thinking Scientists, Inventors and Entrepreneurs with founder members going on to set up major businesses producing many of the daily products we recognise today.
