AGM 2014: Nominations now open

24 Feb 2014

SCI Members are encouraged to put themselves forward for election as Trustees or Standing Committee members and contribute their experience and ideas to shaping the future direction of SCI. Getting involved also provides the opportunity to acquire experience of charity governance and to create relationships with peers from a wide range of backgrounds while working towards common goals.

To find out more, please watch the video (accessible below) of Dr David Evans, Lampitt Medallist 2013, talking about his experiences of getting involved in SCI governance activities.

SCI is now calling for nominations for the roles of Ordinary Members of the Board of Trustees. Nominations are also being called for the Chairmen of two Standing Committees: Finance & Investments (FIAC) and Publications (PAC) and for Ordinary Members in all three Standing Committees: Finance & Investments (FIAC), Membership Affairs (MAC) and Publications (PAC).

If you are interested in building up your skills and experience while contributing to the development of SCI, or you know someone who could be a potential candidate, please access the simplified candidate self-nomination form below. Please do read the accompanying notes to ensure that you comply with the guidelines. Please submit completed applications to the scrutineer by the deadline of 11 April 2014.

Dr Jack Melling
Chairman of the Board of Trustees
