SCI has committed itself to invest in the development of the human capital that will make up the chemical research bodies and industrial talent pool of the future. Throughout the history of the Society, Members have made generous endowments in the shape of Trust Funds which are administrated by SCI to support life-shaping and life-changing experiences for young people.
The SCI Scholars fund established in 1920 was endowed by the bequests of Rudolph Messel (more information) and John Gray, former presidents and founding members of SCI.
