Major Awards
Major Awards will be conferred on the basis of competitive application or nomination, and awarded for outstanding individual or team achievement in the field of chemistry and related sciences.
The SCI Award for the Environment
This award recognises individuals who have made major contributions towards significant improvements in environmental understanding, protection or performance as a result of the creation and application of science and/ or technology in any chemistry-related field, including chemical engineering.

SCI Society Medal and Lecture
This prize is awarded to an individual or a team who has developed an outstanding, internationally-used innovation that has brought significant benefit to consumers or to society in general. In this instance, innovation is defined as 'the commercially successful application of a new idea'.
