Research and Development for Society Award
This award is presented to an individual or a team for R&D (carried out in the last ten years) which provides a potentially major benefit to society in Yorkshire & the Humber. The technology should be at an early stage, and ready for commercialisation or implementation, eg as the basis for a spin-out company.
Recipients are expected to be from academic or research institutions, or to be researchers or technology managers from industry. There should be a strong connection with Yorkshire and the Humber. However, some of the work could be or have been completed outside the region.
