Update on our special whisky tasting, 10 Dec 2009
I am very excited to reveal the planned line up of whiskies we intend to sample on 10 December:
Bruichladdich x4 - quadruple distilled and the most alcoholic single malt ever.
Bruichladdich Octomore - the peatiest malt ever
CWM Bairn of Islay - a young heavily-peated Bunnahabhain & super-rare
Edradour cask strength single cask, sherry first fill, unfiltered Ten years in a sherry cask. Gorgeous.
Pittyvaich Rare Old Speyside malt. The distillery closed in 1993.
Rosebank Cask Strength 56% 1991 Triple-distilled in the Lowland style. Very rare, the distillery closed in 1993.
Very few tickets left, so contact John O'Toole ASAP if you are interested in attending.
(There will be cheese and oat cakes, and Doug Prain has offered to bring some traditional Scottish black bun too.)
