A number of events are being set up by SCI's Regional and Technical Groups for Early Career Scientists. Keep an eye on our events calendar and make the most of support being offered to PhD students, postdocs, and those starting out in industry or academia.

July 3: SCI BioResources Young Researchers 2012: Crop Productivity, Sustainability and Utility
The Electrochemical Technology Group will run an event focusing on the exploitation and commercialisation potential of new technologies for energy storage being developed by young researchers in the UK. Please contact communications@soci.org for more information.

Awards

Rideal Travel Bursaries are offered twice per year to promising academic research workers in colloid and surface science to attend conferences and/or to visit relevant research institutions. Awards of up to GB£400 are available.
