Supporting SCI

13 Sep 2013

SCI's success depends heavily on the generous contributions of our members as well as partner organisations.

For those with the time and interest to become actively involved in the running of the Society, we welcome candidates for election to the Board of Trustees and Standing Committees and members can also be invited onto committees for special projects. SCI Interest Group Committees also welcome new members either via election or as invited members to become involved in organising conferences and outreach activities. SCI also seeks volunteers to support groups by writing about events and activities for our website and magazine. We are also seeking active social media users who have the skills to promote SCI activities to new audiences.

SCI welcomes financial support from members who feel able to contribute over and above their membership fees to enable SCI to offer scholarships, bursaries, studentships and fellowships to support early career researchers. SCI trust funds need to be topped up to allow SCI to continue the level of support we wish to provide to the next generation of scientists who will contribute to making society a better place through the application of chemistry and related sciences.

We will soon be writing to our life members to invite them to contribute toward SCI scholarships. Donations to SCI can be made at any time via Justgiving, below. If you would like to discuss your wishes regarding a future donation or legacy, please contact us for a confidential discussion.

SCI is also very grateful for the support we receive from sponsors and we are always keen to hear from organisations interested in sponsoring conferences, public lectures and webinars. Advertising opportunities are also available in our publications both print and digital, via the link below.

If you're interested in supporting SCI or have an alternative suggestion, please contact communications@soci.org
