On behalf of the SCI ECR Materials group, I would like to welcome you to our webpage. Our ECR committee has been growing year on year now and has developed into a focused and enthusiastic group of young researchers keen to promote engagement and networking among the early career materials community.

We strive to host events which may aid early career scientists in the materials field develop and grow their careers; be that via conferences, training events or through building relationships among colleagues within the wider community.

We are particularly proud of our dedication towards engaging young scientists from all backgrounds and areas through the establishment of specific group roles for outreach; namely, our diversity and inclusivity officer as well as our social media officer role which helps us use social media to connect with a wider range of scientists as well as the general public.

We are hoping to grow our presence greatly, and are currently working on new and fresh ideas to engage more of the community and connect with a greater number of early career scientists.

We are always looking for new members, so if you would like to join us and grow our own community then please get in touch.
