Synopsis
The construction industry faces unprecedented challenges in maintaining and advancing our infrastructure while meeting stringent sustainability targets. Concrete remains the most widely used construction material globally, yet its production and application continue to evolve rapidly through technological innovation.

This symposium will explore cutting-edge developments in concrete technology that are transforming how we design, construct, and maintain road and bridge infrastructure. As the sector responds to climate change imperatives and the need for more durable, sustainable structures, new materials and methodologies are emerging to address these critical challenges.
Attendees
This event brings together industry experts, researchers, and practitioners to discuss practical applications of these technologies and their implications for future infrastructure projects. Whether you are involved in design, specification, construction, or asset management, this symposium will provide valuable knowledge on the latest advances shaping the future of concrete infrastructure.

Attendees will gain insights into alternative cement technologies that significantly reduce carbon emissions, innovative rebar solutions that enhance structural longevity, and advanced techniques for rehabilitating aging concrete road networks. The event will examine how sustainability considerations are reshaping highway structural design principles, while exploring how structural health monitoring systems enable proactive asset management and extend infrastructure service life.
