Synopsis
A meeting organized by the Professional Horticulture Group South West. In the morning we visit 'Desert to Jungle', a Plantsman's paradise, including palms, tree ferns and ferns, 70 different bamboos, plus cacti and succulents such as Agave and Aloe, numerous Cannas and many rare and exotic species. Also a superb exotic demonstration planting. After lunch we go on to Top Plants, founded in 1989 by Jenny and Jerry Earl and supplying climbers of all sorts to the trade. Much appreciated by both retail centres and landscapers. Good quality stock, mostly their own propagation, which we will be shown. Noted for Clematis and Lonicera, with their own named varieties of both, plus Passiflora and various other favourite and unusual climbers.
