The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) Energy Group in collaboration with the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre (NZIIC) would like to invite you to a seminar to discuss the role Hydrogen (H2) and Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) will play in decarbonising the chemical / process industries in the Teesside Cluster.
Within the seminar we will be looking at plans for H2 production and pipeline supply, CO2 capture and transmission to secure sub-sea storage, and the role of CCS in Energy from Waste (EFW) including integration challenges. We will be considering decarbonisation through a number of lenses, including:
We would like to identify the key topics of interest, opportunity and concern within the Teesside cluster, with a view to holding deeper dives into key topics during subsequent discussions. We are keen to use this seminar as a springboard to build a community of key stakeholders and interested parties across the decarbonisation landscape, to continue these initial discussions and to facilitate the development of the key requirements including policy needs and challenges. We would ultimately like to use these outputs to influence government policy and funding strategies.
Registration is encouraged from those who work in the Tees Valley Industrial Cluster.
Please note that this event is targeted at delegates who are active in relevant industry sectors and overall places will be limited. Therefore, SCI reserves the right to request additional information about a delegate’s experience prior to confirming their place.
