SCI scholars showcase and networking event

Synopsis

The event will feature career presentations from outgoing SCI scholarship recipients and College of Scholars alumni, a poster competition from current CoS members, and excellent networking opportunities for scholars and industry representatives. It will take place on 1 July 2026, coinciding with the SCI Annual General Meeting (AGM) which SCI members are encouraged to attend following the showcase.

Past scholars are invited to interact with the wider SCI community and get more involved in the governance of SCI. SCI Members from academia and industry are encouraged to attend to network with early career members both attending and presenting.

At the scholars showcase there will be a College of Scholars poster competition. Giving you the opportunity to share your research with your peers and representatives from industry and academia.

The competition is open to current CoS members with prizes of £50, £75, and £100 for the top three posters. Entrants will also receive a travel allowance for the event.

Attendees

The College of Scholars showcase event is designed to allow early career SCI members to share their work, and to provide a supportive network. Places are offered subject to availability and early career members and those with a direct connection to the College of Scholars will be prioritised.
