It is generally accepted that achieving the deep cuts in greenhouse gas emissions required to limit dangerous climate change will require changes in behaviour. However, if such changes are not socially accepted then they are unlikely to happen.
In this talk, Angela Druckman explores which activities are fun while also producing relatively low carbon emissions. Although the picture is nuanced, the talk concludes with some possible ways forward for more sustainable lifestyles.
SCI accessibility grants are available to support SCI members with disabilities, long term health conditions, those who require a carer, and members who are nursing parents to attend SCI events. Download an application form to apply for a grant.
