Synopsis
This talk will cover the role of pigments in the artists' materials trade with specific reference to L Cornellissen & Son, the leading supplier of pigments to artists since 1855.Yanko Tikov (Russell & Chappie) will then talk about the use of modern pigments replacing some of the famous early colours and how an artist today can use knowledge of pigments to inform their work based on the properties they exhibit.
