SCI London Group Social Event 2015: Tour of Chiswick House Gardens and Fuller's Brewery

Synopsis

The London Group's annual Summer social event returns on 12 June 2015.

The day will start with a guided tour of Chiswick House Gardens; here you will be able to appreciate the scale, grandeur and history of the gardens, whilst learning about its spectacular features and the fascinating stories which lie behind them.

After the tour of the gardens has ended, there will be a leisurely walk to the historic Mawson Arms where we will have lunch* and enjoy the fresh ale. The Mawson Arms is also the start of the Fuller's Griffin Brewery tour and our guide will meet us here at 3 pm.

During the tour, we will go behind the scenes of this famous working brewery and discover the history, heritage of the brewery whilst gaining an insight into ale making. We will finish our tour with a tutored tasting session of some of Fuller's finest ales.

As well as finding out about the chemical reactions of beer making, this event will be a great way to network with your fellow members in a relaxed setting.

Open to SCI members and their guests.** Places are limited so early booking is advised. The deadline for bookings and chosen menu options is 20 May 2015.

*Menus will be emailed to registered attendees at the beginning of May.
