Synopsis

This event is for early career scientists working in agricultural, environmental, food and other relevant sciences contributing to our food supply. It is also for all those interested in learning about progress and meeting new talent in agri-food sciences.

  • Experience presenting to a multidisciplinary audience
  • Raise your profile, build networks, find ideas and inspiration
  • Hone your career skills
Contributions are expected from a wide range of disciplines such as agronomy, animal physiology and nutrition, environmental sciences, molecular biology, food sciences, analytical chemistry, flavour and sensory science. This meeting will also focus on career development with a keynote presentation by Libby Good, ATP Business Development Manager at the University of Reading.

Call for papers and posters

PhD students and first post-docs wishing to present have three options:

  • Oral paper (20 minutes)
  • Poster (A0: 1189 mm x 841 mm, portrait)
  • Poster plus flash presentation (5 slides, 5 minutes)
Anyone wishing to present a poster is encouraged to submit a one-page, 300 word (max.) abstract to Dr Jade Owen by Friday 11 March 2016
Oral presentation slots are limited and will be allocated to achieve a balanced programme. Topics for presentations in any format may be results, reviews or plans.Prizes will be awarded, focusing on quality of science and clarity of communication.
