Data capture and analytics
The website content management system captures information based on how SCI’s digital channels are accessed. This information is collected anonymously until you sign into the account or provide any information to the website.
Please note that if you access the website based on a link in an email communication, this will enable the website to identify you.
The system can:
- identify the first and last pages visited and your total number of visits to the website
- see how long you spend on any page on our website or viewing our blog or video content
- see how you have accessed the channel i.e. what web browser you have used, what device etc.
- find out how you came to access the website including any keyword searches, search engine information or other sites you linked from.
By allowing SCI to capture information on your usage of the digital channels, we can offer a more user-centric experience of our website. By understanding how you use the SCI website and digital channels, as well as what interests you, we will be able to share the latest updates on your preferred topics, in an appropriate format, each time you visit the SCI website.
SCI Members' Directory
The information added into the SCI Members' Directory will be available to all SCI members as stipulated under the Members’ Terms and Conditions.
The Directory allows members to give their consent to only information they wish to share with other SCI Members being made available.
Your details will not be shared with anyone other than the SCI membership.
As a convenience to you, the SCI website contains links to other sites, which SCI has reviewed and feels are appropriate for our Membership.
You are under no obligation to use these sites, but if you choose to do so, please be aware that these sites have separate content, privacy and data collection policies. Please refer to these before interacting with the site. SCI cannot accept responsibility for any use of your personal information by these sites.
