Wine has go to be one of the most interesting beverages to explore given the very wide range of factors, both natural and human, which can influence what we experience by the time it is poured into a glass. How these factors come together to deliver one of life's greatest pleasures can be appreciated by tasting - once you know where to look.
We are delighted to have secured Geoff Taylor, Campden BRI's wine and spirits expert, to lead an evening of wine exploration. Geoff's experience in wine and wine-making is renowned and means that his contribution is sought on matters as varied as the latest edition of Jancis Robinson's The Oxford Companion to Wine ('the greatest wine book ever published' - according to the Washington Post) to wine fraud! By comparing wines from the Americas with similar varieties from Europe, we are promised a delicious and insightful tour of the science of wine.
The event will run from 18:00 to 20:00, with wine tasting starting at 18:30 sharp!
