A weekend tour including Burnham Nursery, the Dartington Estate and Coleton Fishacre gardens

Burnham Nurseries: A family run business started in Croydon by Percy Rittershausen but located in Kingsteignton since1951. They claim to have the largest selection of orchid species and hybrids available in the UK.

Dartington Hall Estate The Saturday will be spent looking at different aspects of the Dartington Hall Estate with particular reference to the gardens and it’s forest projec

Coleton Fishacre The country home of the D’Oyly Carte family. Now managed by the National Trust the garden benefits from a mild microclimate enabling tender plants from the Mediterranean, South Africa and New Zealand thrive in the moist and sheltered valley.
