Synopsis
A weekend tour including Burnham Nursery, the Dartington Estate and Coleton Fishacre gardens

- Burnham Nurseries: A family run business started in Croydon by Percy Rittershausen but located in Kingsteignton since1951. They claim to have the largest selection of orchid species and hybrids available in the UK.

- Dartington Hall Estate The Saturday will be spent looking at different aspects of the Dartington Hall Estate with particular reference to the gardens and it’s forest projec

- Coleton Fishacre The country home of the D’Oyly Carte family. Now managed by the National Trust the garden benefits from a mild microclimate enabling tender plants from the Mediterranean, South Africa and New Zealand thrive in the moist and sheltered valley.
