Synopsis
The talk will briefly introduce previous work on the taxonomy, evolution and phylogenetics of trypanosome parasites in relation to species indentification and vector incrimination, as well as molecular and cellular investigations of proteins involved in trypanosome life cycles, before focusing on current and planned work looking at the evolution of tsetse-trypanosome interactions and the indentificationof wildlife reservoirs of human trypanosomiasis.
