Organised by:
SCI's Horticulture Group in partnership with Professional Horticulture Group South West
Bioaqua first, then Somerset Wild Life Trust
This event is no longer available for registration.
Bioaqua Farm is the biggest integrated aquaponic trout farm in Europe and the first commercial farm of its kind in the UK, growing vegetables and rearing rainbow trout in a bio-symbiotic system, with bees to pollinate the plants and worms to sustain the cycle of the system.
This visit will be followed by Somerset Wildlife's nearby Westhay Moor reserve to see how the landscape is managed to achieve the best environments for the species of plants and animals that thrive in Somerset's wetlands.
